Cloud and Data fabrics are IT trends for 2022

The Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo Americas, held last October 2021, has shown us the key technology strategies CIOs will adopt in 2022. These include distributed companies, advanced IA, hyper-automation, cloud-native platforms, decision intelligence, and security advanced, among others.

Gartner sees companies moving to data fabrics and creating new services specifically for the cloud, rather than simply migrating existing applications to cloud platforms. Data fabrics, which integrate data and application silos with integrated analytics, will be deployed more frequently in 2022. The research firm predicts this will improve data usage by distributed enterprises, reducing data management efforts by up to 70% .

Services sector grows 0.5% in August and reaches its highest level since 2015

In the opposite direction of industry and commerce, the service sector grew in August in Brazil. Compared to July, the volume of the sector increased by 0.5%, show data released last October by the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics). August was the fifth consecutive month of service growth. With the performance, the service sector was 4.6% above the pre-pandemic level of February 2020. It also reached the highest level since November 2015, but is still 7.1% below the historical record of November 2014.

According to the IBGE, the growth of services in August (0.5%) was accompanied by four of the five activities surveyed within the sector. The highlights were information and communication (1.2%), transport (1.1%) and services provided to families (4.1%).
